We're on quite the streak with this kiddo!
After Tyleigh's third ACL surgery, the pain in her knee never really subsided. We tried cortisone shots, therapy, a more holistic approach, etc. Nothing seemed to be giving her relief.
Dr. Carlson seemed done with us. Who can blame the poor guy?!? He just didn't feel like there was any more that could be done.
We decided to seek out a second option from another well-known Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cooley.
He immediately suspected a cyclops lesion.
We scheduled her FIFTH knee surgery, and sure enough, she had a huge Cyclops lesion, as well as lots of scar tissue that needed to be scoped and some bone that needed to be trimmed.
We have gotten pretty good at rolling with the punches and the bad news, but really, it breaks our hearts that Tyleigh continues to go through this.
You really start to wonder what the lesson is after five surgeries.
She had surgery in the very boujee Park City hospital where many olympians and famous people are treated. To be honest though, we missed our local hospitals. Dr. Cooley was running so behind and it took FOREVER for her to get back into surgery. She was starving!
This was another hard one for her to come out of. Lots of emotion, anxiety and she got SO sick.
This sweet pup loves to take care of Tyleigh.
We're crossing all our fingers and toes and praying that this surgery ends the
surgery streak we've been on!
