Donut Falls

Rod and I are always looking for ways to make the holidays unique and memorable for our kids. As they get older, that becomes both easier and more difficult all at the same time!  This year, we decided to take our crew hiking to Donut Falls on Christmas Day.
It was seriously so much fun! The weather was absolutely beautiful
and it was so fun to see the falls frozen! This is something I hope we'll do more often!

Someone decorated one of the pine trees on the trail!
It added so much to the Christmas feel on our hike!

Tyleigh the mountain goat - always pushing the limits!

Sundance Halloween Lift Ride

Nita and Matt invited us on a double date to the Sundance Halloween Lift Ride under the full moon!
It was such a fun night out with them!

Banasky Insurance Halloween!

Banasky Insurance Halloweens' never disappoint.  Rod and Ryan have come up with some pretty clever duos over the years.  This year, they went with the Princess Bride theme.  Rod was Inigo Montoya and Ryan was Fezzik.

Story time.  Poor Scott.  Rod and Ryan told him they were going to be the Three Amigos, so Scott came to work dressed like an amigo  - and the other two did not. . .

So many creative costumes!

... So Shauntel thought we should support Scott by being the other Amigos, but accidentally ordered the Three Musketeer costumes instead.  We were quite the mismatched trio, but at least we tried!

Shauntel also ordered the Princess Buttercup costume and had Scott's wife Karalee wear it- which made him even more of the odd man out, but it was hilarious! She looked adorable!

Skydive Moab!

Rod's cousin, Doug, and I joked about skydiving together one day . . .
and then we decided why not make it happen??
He and his darling girlfriend, Marika, met us in Moab to make the jump!
It's officially my favorite place to skydive - so far!
We met late in the afternoon, so we decided to show Doug and Marika some of the well-known places in Moab. Balancing Rock and Delicate Arch!

Delicate Arch is beautiful no matter what time of day it is, but it's extra stunning at sunset!

We had dinner at one of the fun restaurants on Main Street!
The next morning was our jump!
Marika had never been - and was not even nervous!
Doug had gone one other time, and this was my second jump as well.

Dustin was my flight instructor!

Look at that view! It's especially cool upside down!

We were there during the Boogie Fest, which was SO fun! There was such a fun and crazy energy there! Some guy handed Marika a hamburger after she jumped! Haha!

We took Doug and Marika to Corona Arch after our jump. It's another beautiful arch in Moab!

We found dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs! So cool!

We had a blast spending time with Doug and Marika! It was fun to show them around a different part of Utah and do the things we love the most!
