Happy 49th Birthday!

Happy 49th Birthday to Rodilla, who is a BIG Dilla!

To the man who serves his family and everyone around him without hesitation, who loves us more than anything in the world, who works tirelessly and always puts others first.

You’re the greatest adventurer, the one who lives to make our lives more fun and full of memories! You’re the calm in every storm, the laughter in our home, and the heart of our family.

Here’s to another year of laughter, adventures, and love! We love you, Rodilla!

Bicep Surgery

Rod tore his bicep tendon back in July.  We took Adam and Vanessa and their cute girls boating and he was trying to crank the boat up onto the trailer. He felt and heard a loud pop - and may or may not have dropped some cuss words. He has lived with it like this for almost five months and it just isn't healing, so it was time for surgery! The surgeon cut the bicep tendon the rest of the way, drilled a hole in his bone and reattached the tendon. Rod was a great patient -
and told all of the doctors and nurses his long list of dad jokes!
Today is day one of a year of healing!
He was really digging the shorts they gave him.
I told him that if I made the girls take pictures like this,
he wasn't getting out of it.

He came out of surgery quieter than I anticipated he would. He still threw out his dad jokes and proclaimed his love for me very loudly (which I'm flattered by), and asked the same questions over and over and over. Love you, Rod!

Let's just throw these in to sum up 2024, shall we??

Boating in . . . January?!?

There's really not much to say other than these two are absolutely crazy
and have crazy friends that think they have good ideas!
Tyleigh and Rod decided to go boating at Deer Creek in January.  The color of their pictures and the snow in the background is enough to make me freeze without even leaving my house!

Banasky Insurance Halloween!

Rod and Ryan are at it again!
This year's Banasky Halloween duo did not disappoint!
Rod went as the New York Jets Quarterback, Zach Wilson.

And Ryan went as the mom that Zach Wilson slept with!

Rod is a Spartan . . . Again!

I am so proud of this guy! He and his work buddies decided to do a Spartan last summer, and it was not easy! They decided to do the Beast on the hardest course there is - Snowbasin! The Beast is 21km, 30 obstacles and a 3000 foot climb at high elevation in the dead heat of summer. It is not for the weak of heart or mind! The first Spartan was HARD, but for some crazy reason, they all went back for it this year! Rod got sick on the course and threw up several times.  I didn't go watch (I'm not his favorite cheerleader in these situations), but Scott's wife, Karalee, was there and tooks some pics for me and gave him some coke and encouragement!
Rod and Ry-Dawg - all smiles at the beginning!

So proud of all of them, but especially Rod! You are amazing!
