Happy Birthday Rod!
For Rod's birthday this year, he got a . . . goat.
A. Real. Live. Goat.
Poor guy! I thought I was being all cute by posting
pictures of him on facebook all day. That irritated him
half to death.
Then our friends called and asked me to get him out of the house.
I had NO idea why, but agreed to it anyway.
Not long after we left with the kids, we got a phone call
from the same friends to hurry home.
Still NO clue as to why.
And then we pulled up to this . . .
A STINKY, SCREAMING BILLY GOAT!
This guy SCREAMED for hours on end.
Everyone on our street came out to see why.
It sounded like we were castrating or sacrificing him -
or both at the same time.
We had no idea what to do with him.
So, Carsyn attempted to take him for a walk.
Did I mention that he was also a head-butting billy goat?
The walk didn't last long.
It started getting cold, and the goat would NOT shut up, so Rod called
one of the farmers near our home and asked him to keep him until we could make
other arrangements. He wasn't so sure it was a good idea,
but his wife talked him into it . . . THANK GOODNESS!
They planned on giving him a home at their son's farm. . .
Unless he became dinner first because of all the noise he made!
Rod got a text . . .
"Happy Birthday you old goat!"
He had a really swell birthday.
It's all good.
No need to get mad.
We just get even!
