Cyclops Lesion

The knee journey continues!

Tyleigh just wasn't making a full recovery from her second ACL surgery. Her knee kept popping and catching and making the most awful sounds. She was losing her ability to fully straighten her knee and my gut said something was wrong - again.

We took her back to Dr. Carlson - who was not thrilled to see us, I'm sure.
He did some tests, but didn't think anything major was going on. He agreed to do an MRI just in case, but didn't really feel like it would show anything.

It did.

She had developed a cyclops lesion. From the medical journal, "a cyclops lesion is a nodule of fibrovascular tissue with the arthroscopic appearance of a cyclops with peripheral tissue. The incidence of a cyclops lesion is reported to be between 1%-10% of all ACL repairs."

So what did that mean for Tyleigh? Another knee surgery.
The only way to get rid of the cyclops lesion is to remove it surgically.
It's so hard to watch Tyleigh go through another setback, but as always, she is such a trooper!

And it just had to happen during the Covid outbreak, so we had to get tested and wear masks.

Nurse Annie to the rescue!

More holes and more scars!

My People

Rod and the girls gave me the BEST Mother's Day gift . . . these beautiful pictures!
They totally surprised me! They went and had these done without me having even the slightest clue.
I LOVE every single one of them so much - the pictures and the people!
I am the luckiest mom/wife in the world!

Hike to the Suspension Bridge

We've always heard about the Suspension Bridge, so we decided to check it out. It was cool - but not as cool as instagram or some people make it out to be! Haha!
That was a one and done to check off the list!

Amazing Chalk Art!

First of all, our girls are incredible - - so stinking creative and fun!
Second, we have the CUTEST neighbors who were willing to come make this chalk art come to life and let us take pictures!
We had SO much fun with this one!
