My Little Entrepreneurs

These cute girls are quite the little business women! They decided to open up a snow cone stand in our front yard, and within three days they had made $75.00! (I am SO in the wrong business!) They have had a blast and are extremely dedicated to their work! Thanks to a lot of great neighbors and very loyal (and generous) customers, they have been able to earn their own money for an up-coming trip! Good job girls!

Preschool Graduate!

It's hard to believe that my "baby" is old enough to be done with preschool! It's even more crazy to think she's that much closer to going to Kindergarten! She has had an amazing experience with preschool the last two years, which has fostered an incredible love for others and learning already! We are so proud of you Tyleigh!

The Graduation "diploma" . . . it's official!
That is one proud little girl!

Grandma and Grandpa came to share her exciting day with her!

Angel's Landing

For our 10th Anniversary, Rod and I decided to hike Angel's Landing in Zion's. This is the first place that we were together when I begged Rod to hate me, and instead he told me how much he had fallen in love with me. This is also the place where Rod proposed to me a year later! We hiked up with some dear friends, and at the very top, Rod pulled out a bag of craisins and offered me some. When I opened the bag, there was a ring box inside. Next thing I knew, Rod was on one knee proposing . . . while the ring was rolling down the 12oo foot cliff!!! Thanks goodness for his "cat-like reflexes!" (His words, not mine!) We had an amazing hike all three times that we've done it! It is breath-taking! Here are a few pictures from each time!
This is the first time we ever hiked it! (We thought we were so hot! . . . one of us was!)
This is the day we got engaged!
Just starting the hike! (10 years later!)

These pictures capture Angel's Landing far better than we ever could!
The first picture is called "Walter's Wiggles." It is a long series of switchbacks.
Thank you to my mom and dad, and my sister for watching our girls! Here's to another incredible 10 (plus!) years babe! I love you!

Feeling SO Loved!

Thanks to these guys . . . I had an amazing Mother's Day! And I feel so loved!

My day actually started on Friday with Camryn. The third grade put on a cute little Mother's Day program with songs, poems, and treats for all the moms! Then on Saturday, her wonderful Activities Days leaders put on a Mother/Daughter activity where we got to eat a delicious lunch together, have our picture taken, make a cute frame for our picture, and then paint each other's fingernails.
At the end of the morning, the girls gave all of the moms letters they had written to us and gave us a gift bag with chocolates and nail polish! We had a great time just being together!

Camryn's cute friend Sydney needed an extra hand to paint while her mom took care of her baby brother . . . thus explaining why I have pink and green fingernails!

On Sunday morning, I was spoiled with all sorts of loot! Rod spent weeks (or months?) working on the sweetest video for me! He put tons of my favorite pictures of the girls, our family, and he and I together on a DVD with my favorite songs, and at the end, he had the girls give me a Mother's Day message! I LOVE IT! Carsyn made me a darling book all about the things she loves about me. Tyleigh made me a beautiful envelope with her little handprint and a poem inside - she was so proud, and even kept it a secret until Mother's Day! She also made me a gorgeous bead necklace! I feel so honored today! I am so grateful to be their "mommy!" I love you guys!

Now I Can 5K

This is exactly the reason I love running so much . . .

Amazing friends & free therapy!

Even my cute husband got in on it today!
These two girls are untouchable when it comes to racing!
Way to go Jacqueline and Leesa - both took 1st in their age divisions!
Our darling friend, Stephanie, asked our group of friends to run a 5K on behalf of a foundation called Now I Can. This foundation helps children with disabilities "reach their full potential and greatest independence." What an incredible experience it was for us to run together as friends for such a great cause! We had a blast! Leesa took first (as usual!) in our age division, I took second, and Jill took third! Way to go girls! It's nice to know our "torture" runs are paying off somewhere! It was so much fun to have Rod get in on it too - just ask him! He'll tell you exactly how much fun it was! :) He did great even if he didn't love every second of it! Racing season is definitely in the air . . . and what better way to start it than with amazing friends???

Our Love Story

10 years ago, I married my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, LOVE . . .

Happy 10th Anniversary Rod! I love you more today than ever! Who knew?! You are an AMAZING husband and daddy! You will always be my GREATEST BLESSING!

Enjoy this little (and I do mean little) trip down memory lane! There are so many moments I wasn't able to capture, and so many yet to be had! I look forward to them all!

I LOVE YOU!

My Life Lately . . .

This is my excuse for not blogging lately . . . or cleaning my house, or eating decent, or feeding my children, or talking to my husband, etc., etc., etc.! Isn't this the coolest picture?! Somehow, and I'm sure I agreed at some point, but my memory is foggy on that part of it, I consented to being on the PTA Board and being the "Room Mom Coordinator/Teacher Appreciation Week." This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and while it was several weeks of "HELL" planning it, it has been a blast to see it all come together! I have such great room mothers that I get to work with, and it has been so fun to watch their creativity come out! Look how cute all of these doors turned out! I never want to scrapbook again however, but the room moms did such a good job! Thanks ladies for all you did! And a special thanks to my husband, who has never scrapbooked, tied bows, or done so much "cute" stuff in his whole life! You were beyond patient with all of this, and you were an amazing help! Also, to my mom and dad who once again created the most incredible center pieces you've ever seen, and for bailing me out when I thought I would jump! And to my running gals, thanks for listening to me gripe over and over again! (I sound like I've won a grammy or something!) Seriously though, to those of you who helped with this insanity, thank you! I couldn't have done it all without you! THANK HEAVENS it's all done!

She Got It!

Tyleigh has been wanting to ride a big girl bike forever now! We have been practicing for quite a while on her tiny bike, but she just couldn't get it. Rod and I decided to try a bigger bike - and wouldn't you know it?? She took off! She made us leave the training wheels on for about a week, but they were only there as a placebo effect - they didn't even touch the ground once! It took less than a day to teach her, and now she is a pro! There are even days when the rest of us can't keep up with her! We are so proud of you Ty!

Her other newest accomplishment . . . She has finally learned to pump herself on the swings! HOORAY! It's amazing what almost being five will do! Way to go Tyleigh!

Little Miss Ella

These pictures were just too cute not to share! Little Miss Ella gets
to play at our house a couple of days each week! Isn't she adorable???
