More Costa Rica Moments

My pictures are all out of order, so I thought I'd throw in one last post with the random pictures and thoughts about Costa Rica!
Costa Rica is truly one of the friendliest countries we've been to so far. The people are so kind! We didn't explore outside of the resort and towns we had excursions in nearly enough and I have a feeling there is so much more to see, so it's someplace I'd like to come back to!
We went to a beach in Jaco, which was much prettier than the beach at our resort.
We also went shopping in Jaco one night and had the yummiest frozen yogurt!

There are iguanas everywhere - and apparently crocodiles as well! We only got to see those on our excursion though. I loved seeing wild monkeys!
Sunsets here are amazing! Costa Rica is HOT and SO humid!
And while it was fun to see the black sand beaches, I've realized how much I love soft white sand!
I do hope we get to bring our girls back here some day, but I'm so happy I got to see it with Rod!

This whole piece of art is made out of bottles with notes in them.

Horseback Riding and Waterfalls

Today, we rode horses - if that's what you want to call them - to a "waterfall and natural pool." Poor things were so small and malnourished and GRUMPY. It's so hard to see an animal in that condition. We

We ate at the hotel that night.
Rod ordered the seafood platter.  I was literally waiting for something on his plate to move!
He said it all had so much garlic on it that he couldn't really taste much more!

Ziplining and Butterflies!

Today was SO much fun! We went ziplining in the Jaco Rainforest!
There were 10 different ziplines and then we did a "nature hike" through the rain forest and ended at the butterfly garden.

We rode this fun little tram thing through the rainforest up to the top of the mountain.

I feel so bad - I didn't dare hold my phone while zipling, so the only videos we have are of me and not of Rod - and he's a lot more fun to watch on the zipline than I am!

The Blue Morph butterfly was my favorite!

We had the best day! I love having these adventures with Rod!

Later that night, we had another group dinner with fire dancers.
