I cannot believe how close we are to having this sweet little girl join our family!

We cannot wait to love on her!!! (She's not going to be spoiled at all . . . )

Maui 2023 (Day 4)

Today, we tried to snorkel in the bay by our hotel. It was way too rough and almost impossible to get out very far because the waves kept pushing us back in.  

I made Rod recreate this picture for me. . . the one below is from our honeymoon 25 years ago!

Just a few months before we came to Maui, Lahaina caught on fire and most of it burned. We spent a lot of time in Lahaina while we were on our honeymoon and were so sad to see so much loss. We took a drive with the Falk's to see what was left. It was devastating.  So many communities burned right to the ground. So many businesses lost. Our hearts broke for the people there. 

We found Keawe Street - which was cool! Then we found a local restaurant to support for lunch.

We did go down and see Ka'anapali and the black rock beach we visited so frequently on our honeymoon. It didn't feel quite the same with the sadness in the air.

Once we got back and got cleaned up, we were gifted with another incredible sunset. 

Maui 2023! (Day 1)

 It's been 25 years since we were last here . . . on our honeymoon!

It's crazy to think it's been that long ago! It was so fun to come back to the same place we came as newlyweds! We certainly look a little different, but Maui was just as beautiful as before!

It was late when we got there, so we went with Ryan and Jana Falk, picked up a car, and went to get FOOD! We found a fun little diner called Peggy Sue's! 

In the same little shopping complex, we found Wow Wow!

It is a lemonade shop that Traci always took the girls to in Phoenix. 

They love it, so it was fun to send them a picture!

When we got to the hotel, we were given these beautiful necklaces at check-in. 

The Hawaiian culture is beautiful!

Provo River Falls

Rod and I have always heard about how beautiful the Upper Provo River Falls in the Uintas are,

but it's a decently long drive, so we have never gone to see them. 

We decided the drive was worth it . . . and it was. The falls were beautiful!

There were so many people there playing in the water! So fun!
