Sunset on the Y Mountain

We took all the kids to hike Y Mountain tonight - yes, even us Utah fans hike that mountain once in a while! We wanted to make sure we timed it just right to watch the sunset, and it paid off!  The kids did awesome and the sunset was beautiful!

Moana!

Moana!

This chalk art piece is incredible.  Due to weather, and a little fighting (or a lot), the girls weren't able to finish this one completely, but the detail they put into each character on this drawing is unreal. The little Moana is one of my most favorite faces they've ever done!

Snowshoeing

I went snowshoeing with a friend and had so much fun that I wanted to take the girls and Rod to try it out - it wasn't quite the same experience! 😆
We went to the back of Mount Timpanogos. The wind was blowing snow everywhere and it was COLD! The snow was icy, which made it hard to walk on.
We had some good laughs, a few tears, and a lot of adventure!

The snow was SO deep!

Look how much snow was on the outhouse!
This might be an activity we'll try again when the girls are either older - or when there's less wind!

Owl

One day, we noticed something moving in the house being built behind us. We went outside to get a closer look and realized it was an OWL! He was beautiful! He just sat and watched us as we gawked over him and got closer and closer for pictures!

We were told that owls are our spirit guides. "Owls are seen as protectors, and their presence could be viewed as a sign that you are being watched over during a challenging time. In some cultures, an owl near your home is also believed to be a harbinger of change."
