Skydive Ogden!

Skydiving Tradition Continues ✈️

Somehow, it’s become an annual tradition to go skydiving — and I absolutely love it! I always joke that I’ve spent my kids’ entire lives trying to protect them, yet for some reason, I’m completely fine with them jumping out of a plane!

This year, Tyleigh called me up and said, “We can’t break our streak! We have to go!” So we signed up for a time, and Carsyn and I met her in Ogden for the jump.

When we arrived, there were a lot more people in the hangar than usual. We figured they were just running behind schedule, but soon found out that one of their planes had broken down. They were hoping someone could drive a part over to get it fixed quickly. That probably should’ve been our sign not to jump—but of course, we weren’t backing out that easily!

We waited for a couple of hours before the sweet owner suggested we grab lunch. So we headed to Farmington, enjoyed some yummy Aubergine, and did a little shopping. Then she called and said, “Can you be here in 10 minutes?” Uh, no! But we hustled as fast as we could!

Carsyn was up first, jumping with just one other person since they switched to their smaller two-man plane to keep things moving. By the time she landed, they’d fixed the bigger plane, and Ty and I were harnessed up and ready to go!

It was an amazing jump — the scenery was gorgeous, and the rush never gets old. This was jump number six for me, number five for Carsyn, and number four for Tyleigh. Clearly, we’re hooked!

Ty had a bit of a rough landing and earned herself some impressive road rash, but otherwise, it was an unforgettable day. We’re already counting down until next year — and we can’t wait for Rod and Camryn to start jumping with us! (And still hoping we can convince Brantson to come one day!)

Love my adventurous girls!
