Senior Ball 2022

Tyleigh got asked to Senior Ball by Ryan Peaslee! 

She was half joking, half not, about wearing these shoes and her Utah beanie to the dance. 

We tried lots of shoes with this dress - including these pink boots!

We also tried a couple of different hairstyles!

Luckily, she has great sisters with way more talent in the beauty department than I'll ever have!

Her final look was gorgeous!

Ryan's mom made the corsage and boutonniere.

Poor Ryan had just barely had his wisdom teeth out - he was such a trooper to still attempt a good smile!

Ty and Mika looked gorgeous as always!

We couldn't resist pulling a confetti cannon on the boys during their turn for pictures. 

Their reactions were pricelesss!

Such a fun time of life for these kids!

Rose Bowl 2022

Santa Monica Pier and The Rose Bowl!

Rod and Tyleigh are die-hard Utah fans, and while I love our Utes, I was definitely just the tag-a-long on this one, but it was so fun to be with them and experience the Rose Bowl!

We wanted to show Tyleigh Santa Monica Pier before the game. We took her and the girls there when they were little, but she didn't have any memory of it. It was so fun to explore with her!

The sea of red was incredible! Utah played Ohio State and lost 48-45, but what a game!

The noise was deafening and the energy was incredible!

The moment of Loud was super emotional!

Ear Surgery!

This past summer, we went boating and while Tyleigh was surfing, she fell and hit the water hard. She got in the boat and was complaining about feeling like she had water in her ears. We put some drops in them and it burned so bad that it brought her to tears - which is pretty rare for her!

We took her to the ENT to get checked.  He confirmed that she had blown her ear drum.  It was a pretty significant hole, but she didn't want to miss out on boating more and he thought there might be a small chance the hole would close on it's own. 

It didn't. She essentially failed her hearing test and it was decided that surgery was the only way to fix it. 

She had to have a graft put over the hole and the doctor told us that 

she had blown more than 40% of her eardrum. 

Her poor ear had to stay packed like this forever. 

We had to make sure no water got in her ear, so we had her use this awesome shower cap! :)

Go Utes! Championship Game

Rod, Carsyn, and Tyleigh went to the Utah-Oregon Championship game in Las Vegas! 

This was such a cool experience for them to have together!

Utah beat Oregon 38-10 and won the Pac12 Football Championship title!

They hit SO much traffic going down! The girls got out and entertained themselves and the crowd!

Meeting up with our dedicated and very loyal Utah friends!

Sweet Paula tried to help with the hotel and get them a good rate on a room. . . 

The girls got their first official taste of an hourly room in Vegas!
