More of Easter
This year was such a fun Easter for our family! Rod and I were "remembering" how much we hate dying Easter eggs, when it occurred to us that the girls are old enough to actually do it themselves! Hooray! It was so neat to sit back and watch their creations come to life!
This year the Easter Bunny brought the girls a different kind of present - MONEY! They couldn't have been more excited! They had to go on an egg hunt with very special instructions to find all of their money and their baskets.
The next day, we went up to Gateway and went to the Children's Museum, and then their favorite thing (at least when it's about them), shopping! Camryn picked out yet another Webkinz to add to her growing collection, and the cutest brown hat I've ever seen on her! Carsyn also added another Webkinz to the collection and decided she wanted a pair of fake glasses that look real. ??? Exactly. I have yet to get her to let me take a picture of them.
Tyleigh had the most fun by spending her money on a new Build-A-Bear with a Tinkerbell (her most favorite person in the world) dress. She beamed the rest of the day!
Spoiled (but very loved) girls!
Happy Easter to all of you!
Egg Hunts, Dyed Hands and A Lot of Chocolate!
I love holidays that we get to celebrate for an entire week prior to the actual holiday! 40 pounds of chocolate, Heaven only knows how many dyed Easter eggs, dyed hands, and 4 egg hunts later, we hope you had a wonderful Easter too!

Just a few reasons to love Spring . . .
Everything about Spring makes me happy!
These are just a few of the reasons I love it!
My tulips are in bloom!
These are just a few of the reasons I love it!

Who doesn't love the Easter Bunny?

What a fun experience it was for the girls to be SO up close and personal!
One of the babies had to be bottle fed - so we got to do it!
We even got to give the cows a little treat!

Hoppie Comes to Visit
HOPPIE
'Twas the week before Easter,
And as my luck would have it,
Someone dropped off
The DARN bloggin' rabbit!
After being gone the whole entire day,
I opened my door,
And there was Hoppie,
All ready to play!
He sat on the stairs,
Not making a sound,
That stiff, chocolate bunny,
A glorious ceramic mound!
'Twas the week before Easter,
And as my luck would have it,
Someone dropped off
The DARN bloggin' rabbit!
After being gone the whole entire day,
I opened my door,
And there was Hoppie,
All ready to play!
He sat on the stairs,
Not making a sound,
That stiff, chocolate bunny,
A glorious ceramic mound!
I invited him in,
And let him meet the cat,
Who I think mistook him,
For a little brown rat!
The girls were worried
That Hoppie might need to eat,
So we took him outside,
Where he enjoyed a little spring treat! He got quite cold,
So we brought him inside,
Where he was played with and loved,
Before being taken for a ride!
As for our house,
Hoppie's visit was done!
That un-fuzzy Easter bunny
Was a whole lot of fun!
We bid him good-bye
As he hop-hopped away
"Happy Easter to all-
And to all a great day!"

Following in My Footsteps?
(Yes People, that is E.T.! Gotta love the '80's!)
Jessica - Age 4Of all the traits my daughter COULD have acquired from me, she picked my amazing finesse and grace! The pictures of Carsyn do NO justice at all, but yes, she does have a black eye and a completely swollen and bruised cheek. While I am still up for "Mother-of-the-Year," this time isn't due to my negligence! She crashed right into another little girl in P.E. at school, and did this to herself!!! It's amazing that DCFS hasn't called yet!
Now, let me take you back in time about . . . well, a long time ago. Jessica at age 4. Mom says "stop rocking on that chair!" (And I wonder why my own children don't listen?!) Of course I didn't, and ta-dah! I hit my forehead on the nearest corner, got a goose-egg as big as my own head, and the blood ran down my face giving me two beautiful black eyes!
Carsyn is definitely on her way to following in my footsteps, but she has some big shoes to fill! Poor kid! I guess it's true what they say "like mother, like daughter!"
