Team Hike to Silver Lake

Tyleigh's coach, KT, asked Mika's mom, Paula, and I to help come up with some team-building activities the girls could do before the season started. We decided to take the girls on a hike up to Silver Lake in American Fork Canyon. 

It was so fun to spend the day with these girls!

Tyleigh and Aeyan jumped right in the lake - it was FREEZING! 

It's all run-off water from a glacier, so it does not warm up!

Tyleigh decided to swim out to this rock . . .

And somehow talked more and more of her teammates into doing the same . . . 

We saw these mountain goats at the end of our hike! It was an amazing morning!

Silver Lake (Brighton)

Sometimes you have those Sundays when you just need to get out of the house! Especially during this crazy time of Covid when you can't do much of anything else!

We drove up to Silver Lake in the Brighton ski resort and went for a beautiful walk around the lake! 
It was exactly what each of us needed!

Silver Lake up American Fork is a fun hike - unless it's hotter than hot outside! Which it was! 

Thank goodness these girls are troopers and found ways to make it fun and 

hilarious in spite of sweating to death! 

Love watching their personalities come out - and their interactions as sisters!
