Carsyn Ran a Half Marathon!

Carsyn ran her first half marathon and killed it! She has always been so determined and when she puts her mind to something, she does it! I am so impressed with her - running wasn't her favorite thing for a long time, but she put in the work for this and had a great race!  Great job, Cars!

Rod and I were out of town and were so sad to not be there to support her. 

Her cute friends showed up big though! I am so grateful to them!

 

Senior Soccer Banquet

Tyleigh had her Senior Soccer Banquet to celebrate all of the Westlake Seniors tonight! 

Rod and I were out of town and SO sad to miss it, but we are so grateful that Paula and Marcelo were willing to step in as her surrogate parents and take pictures for us!

We are so proud of all Tyleigh overcame to play soccer at Westlake this year! 

She had an incredible season, made some great friends, and conquered some major obstacles!

 

Rod is a Spartan!

The guys at Rod's office aren't just co-workers, they are friends. One of their co-workers/friends, Trevor, has gone through a pretty tough time this year. He has had to overcome a lot! He wanted a goal to work toward, so the guys at the office decided to do a Spartan Race.  Not just any Spartan - The Beast.  This is one of the hardest levels of the Spartan, It's a 21K race with 30 obstacles in Snowbasin, Utah. 

Camryn, Brantson, and I went up to support them. 

The whole place was buzzing when we got there!

We were so excited when we finally saw Rod coming down the hill! 

It was SO hot and while he looked strong, he also looked miserable.

He was so exhausted by this point, but he gave it everything he had!

Seeing Rod and Trevor at the finish line was pretty emotional.

These guys conquered something incredibly hard and you could just feel how proud they were of each other and of themselves! We are so proud of all of you too!
