I Drilled My Hand!

Rod put a drill in the top of his hand tonight - and tonight is not just any night, it's the night before Camryn's wedding! There was a LOT of blood! (Thanks for helping with that one, Ty!)

We went to instacare and they numbed him up and then realized he got the tendon, so they sent us to the ER. The ER was ready to stitch it until they realized he got the tendon and sent us home with instructions to see a hand specialist. Carsyn glued him up to get through the wedding tomorrow, so cross your fingers it holds!

ANOTHER Broken Arm . . . For Carsyn

Remember how I said we weren't going to be the injury family?

Wrong. Again. 

Carsyn broke her arm for third year in a row. 

This time she was in Aerobics at school. She and another kid crashed with a huge exercise ball. This one was a DOOZY!

The school secretary called me and said she thought Carsyn needed to be seen for her arm and all I could do was laugh. She wasn't quite sure how to handle that kind of a reaction from me, but after the third year straight, it's the only way I could handle it! Rod went and picked her up from school.

Our dear neighbor, Drew, saved the day for the millionth time and got her in for x-rays pretty quick. 

The bad news was this break actually had to be set. 

They gave her some loopy meds and Drew set it for her. 

And we keep adding to the cast collection . . . 

Hopefully the third time is the charm and we can be done with injuries for a long time - if not forever!

Carsyn's Second Broken Arm

I'll be honest, I didn't ever think we'd be the family with broken bones and lots of injuries - 

we have all girls!

Carsyn is proving us wrong!

She was at Neptune park for soccer pictures and somehow tripped on a ball. Rod called me and said he thought her arm might be broken again. 

It was. She got another buckle fracture. 

Her cast collection is growing!
